​​'Grams' Photo series 2022

'Grams' is a series of photographs I took of my grandmother in the final years of her life. It records the gradual decline in her health and ability to care for herself independently. I didn't plan to record it in this way but as I felt compelled to take more photographs of her I began to see the significant changes that were happening from the first to the final photograph.

 transfer of independence she underwent as she had to move out of her own home and move in with my mother who looked after her and became her full time Carer.
